Rev. Dr. Winfred M. Hope, age 80, of Athens, Georgia, transitioned to heavenly his home on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. He was Pastor Emeritus of Ebenezer Baptist Church, West.
Dr. Hope is survived by his wife, Betty Smith Hope, two daughters, Helen Hope Kimbrough (Marcus) of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Tracey Hope Haynes (Ulysses) of Lawrenceville, GA; two grandsons, Austin and Avery Kimbrough of Charlotte, NC; a sister, Lynette L. Walker of Jacksonville, Florida, and two brothers, James M. Hope of Birmingham, Alabama, and Michael G. Hope of Mobile, Alabama.
