Michael Allen

Mr. Michael Sanford Allen was born September 26. 1954, to the late Ina Belle and John Henry Allen, in Athens. GA. "Mike," graduated from Cedar Shoals High School in

1973. He resided in Decatur. Georgia for many years with his former wife Barbara Davis. In 1980, he started working at Shelton Florist. Later in 1984, he began working at Maud Bakers Florist. He became the leading assistant florist for a number of years. The owners were very fond of him, and he eventually became a caregiver for them.

Mike moved back home to Athens as he aged. He spent most of his time watching sports along side his brother. You could always find him watching one of his favorite Georgia home based teams. He stood tall, always with a smile on his face. He was soft spoken and loved old school music.

On Tuesday. January 31 2023, his life on earth came to and end. Mike reunited in Heaven with his parents Ina Belle and John Henry Allen, and his brothers Tony and Craig Fitzgerald Allen. Those left to love and cherish his memories are. his brother. Darryl Allen of Athens, GA: his niece LaDaria Allen-Wallace (Kevin) of Lawrenceville. CA and his nephew Daryl Howard of Athens. GA. He also leaves two aunts. Linda Butler and Shirley Allen of Colbert. GA. and two special great nieces. Sydney Ford and Nia Wallace of Lawrenceville. GA; and a host of great nieces, great nephew. other family. and friends.
