Mr. Willie D. “Joe” Faust was born January 14, 1948, to the late Mr. Ruben Faust and Mrs. Amy Lou Freeman Faust in Oglethorpe County, Georgia. He was called home on August 23, 2023.
Joe was the proud owner and operator of Joe’s Place. He was always doing something around his shop. If you passed his shop, you would see him on his tractor. If he saw you, he would always wave.
Joe loved the Lord. His favorite song was “Lord, I Can’t Even Walk Without You Holding My Hand.” He shared this with his late sister, Ruby Lou Faust Watkins, so that also became her favorite song. Now they both are in Heaven, walking with the Lord holding their hands.
Left to cherish precious and fond memories of him are his loving and devoted wife, Mary Ann Dawdy Faust; two daughters, Veronica “Buffy” Faust Wimberly (Ralph) and Kimberly Faust Thomas (Jason); son, Christopher “Nico” Faust; grandson who was raised in the home, Devonne Brooks, and three other grandkids; three sisters who loved him unconditionally, Harriett Rosser (Willie) of Lithonia, Georgia, Sherry Mattox (the late Roger) of Atlanta, Georgia, and the late Ruby Watkins (Nita) of Atlanta, Georgia, who preceded him in death. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
