Celebration of Life for Geneva Lattimore-Mbanefo Day: Saturday Date: October 9, 2021 Time: 11 am Place of Service: Oconee County Civic Center 2661 Hog Mountain Road Watkinsville, GA 30677 Viewing will be held on Friday, October 8, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at The Gardenview Funeral Chapel . Geneva Lattimore-Mbanefo was born on October 19, 1953, in Stephens, Georgia, to Elsie Mae Lattimore of Oglethorpe County and the late George Jackson from Clark County. Geneva accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Thankful Baptist Church under the leadershipof the Reverend CP Wright. Geneva graduated from OCCS High School in Lexington, GA. Geneva desired to create a better life for her two children, so she boldly moved to Los Angeles, CA, with nothing and successfully established a career in Corporate Financial Management as a Vice President Executive at Bank of America. Geneva retired in 2020, dedicating over 40 years to Bank of America. In addition, Geneva was an entrepreneur and businesswoman. She established several businesses named after her grandchildren, such as GiGi's Boutique and the current Nao & Nao Transportation Inc, in partnership with FedEx.Geneva enjoyed being with her grandchildren and celebrating with family and friends. She spent much of her life helping others in any way she could, an angel to many. Geneva departed this lifeon September 22, 2021; she was preceded in death by her father George Jackson, brothers Leonard Hull and Willie Watkins, uncle/brother Bobby Thomas Lattimore, sisters Henrietta Watkins and Juanita Watkins. Geneva leaves to cherish her memory to her husband Livinus Mbanefo, daughter Fonda Whitehead, son Macklin Miller Moore III, grandchildren Geneva Monae Smothers, Naomi Geneva Stevens, and Macklin Miller Moore IV, also her two Goddaughters Carolyn Daniels and Wendy Vargas. She also leaves to cherish her sisters, Mary Elaine Platt, Cynthia Lenora Hull-Clark, MaShell Bacon, Janet Watkins, sister/aunt Eva Dalton, and sister/aunt Juanita Richards. Her brothers Randy Jull, Bernard, Ricky, James, Larry, Terry Watkins, David Fitzgerald, and uncle/brother Joe Lewis Lattimore.
