THE LIFE OF FREDERICK EMORY SMITH, SR "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith" -2 Timothy 4:7 kjv The family of Frederick Emory Smith, Sr. announces with great sorrow his passing on April 10, 2021 in Johnson City, New York. Fred valiantly finished his battle and went home to be with Jesus surrounded by family. Fred was born on September 23, 1942, in Athens, Georgia. A public memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 24, 2021, at Gardenview Funeral Chapel (605 Olympic Drive, Athens, Georgia, 30601). In light of the ongoing pandemic and the related health risks associated therewith, to help keep everyone safe, masks must be worn by all attendees throughout the service, and there will be neither a reception nor repass.
