Deacon Thomas Lanier McCurry, age 66, of Athens, died May 24, 2015. Survivors include his wife, Mary McCurry; step daughters, Dorothy Gaither, Aretha Gaither and Phyllis Gaither; stepsons, Jerald Gaither and Arthur "Phat" Gaither; sisters, Carolyn McCurry-Miles and Sharon Foote; thirteen step grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, May 27, from the Coy C. Williamson, Jr. Memorial Chapel at Gardenview with interment in Hitchcock Cemetery.
